My parents grew up in a low-income family, where they had to work at a very young age to support them. Both my parents had more than 7 sibling, my mother had her father walk out on her, my father lost his parents to cancer, they both faced racism due to the fact they are Hispanic. Because the fact that they both had to support the family, the never went to college. The highest education they received was a high school education for my mother and a GED for my father. Both of them were in the military and when they got out, my mother decided to stay at home while my father became a firefighter. Firefighter do not make much money, it is barely enough to support 2 children. My father is now retired, he doesn’t receive as much as he used to, and
