These are the people that can create a calming environment for those around them but also have people feel comfortable with them. One example of this can be a social worker. A social worker is person that creates a calm environment for everyone. They also are able to use the skills they learned to help other people who need it the most. Lastly we have, conceptual skill. This is a skill allows one to work with ideas and concepts. This skill is important because a person with this trait is able to see and understand different ideas. Not only that but they are able to take ideas and turn them into realities.Not only that having a conceptual skill is the best skill to have in my opinion.

Dr. Wood’s leadership would be criticisms. The reason I picked this one is because his skill model is weak and making his co-workers feel bad about themselves. His relationship with his team is not a good one. He criticise them for not working hard enough and not seeing the real work they do. They are upset with him because Dr. Woods fell he has to do everything but does not see what the team input is. I do not believe this will be successful if he keeps acting this way maybe if he changes and sees all the work than yes, but as for now no.
I do not believe he has the leadership skills to be an effective leader in this research team. He has no conceptual skill when it comes to this project. 3. The competencies would you address with him is social judgmental skills. THe reason why is because he needs to understand that he is talking to other humans and they also have feelings. Not only that but he needs to understand that some people take criticism harder than others. Some changes I would suggest that he make in his leadership is his social skills and problem solving skills.
