1. There is a difference between trait and skills. A trait is something that comes nature to a person. It is something that you can never forget. Having a trait is like having a habit it's something that you can do and not remember how you learned. At times a trait is also just something you know. Unlike a skill. A skill is something that must be learned. Something that if you do not do for a while could be something you forget. A skill can come in three parts. Technical skills, human skill, and conceptual skill. These three can all play a role into how a person develops their skill sets.

2. The three-skill approached are Technical skills, human skill, and conceptual skill. Technical skill is making sure that things are doing correctly.

These are the people that can create a calming environment for those around them but also have people feel comfortable with them. One example of this can be a social worker. A social worker is person that creates a calm environment for everyone. They also are able to use the skills they learned to help other people who need it the most. Lastly we have, conceptual skill. This is a skill allows one to work with ideas and concepts. This skill is important because a person with this trait is able to see and understand different ideas. Not only that but they are able to take ideas and turn them into realities.Not only that having a conceptual skill is the best skill to have in my opinion.

6. The strengths of the skills approach are broken into four categories. The first is the importance of leadership. This talks about the importance a understand and creating skills that a leader should and must have. It also helps show how leadership in different levels requires a different set of skills. Question
Dr. Wood’s leadership would be criticisms. The reason I picked this one is because his skill model is weak and making his co-workers feel bad about themselves. His relationship with his team is not a good one. He criticise them for not working hard enough and not seeing the real work they do. They are upset with him because Dr. Woods fell he has to do everything but does not see what the team input is. I do not believe this will be successful if he keeps acting this way maybe if he changes and sees all the work than yes, but as for now no.
I do not believe he has the leadership skills to be an effective leader in this research team. He has no conceptual skill when it comes to this project. 3. The competencies would you address with him is social judgmental skills. THe reason why is because he needs to understand that he is talking to other humans and they also have feelings. Not only that but he needs to understand that some people take criticism harder than others. Some changes I would suggest that he make in his leadership is his social skills and problem solving skills. This is because it would make him a better leader but also understand that there could be different ways of doing
