The place that takes up all my free time. The place which I hold a special place in my heart for. The baseball field, which I hold a love and hate relationship with. Maplewood, the dorm where I sleep, where I stay up late with the guys on my floor as we come closer every single day. Building bonds that I thought I could never have. An escape from reality, as I am hypnotized by the way the mountains roll over each other. The mountains have become a part of me, I know when I see the mountains I am home. I always go up to the hill before a game. Going up there as a special effect on me. I clear my head and listen too music. Looking at the mountains and thinking about nothing except my high school career and what coach Spotts has in store for me. Thinking about a game usually makes me really nervous. I get into my head and end up playing bad. There is something about sitting on the hill and looking over to the mountains that calms me down. I get chills down my body and goosebumps as I sit on the peak.
As I sit on the top of the hill early in the morning I can see the sun rise over the magnificent mountains. I can smell the sweet smell of dog food as the rain smacks me in the face. It is all so new to me, but yet feels so old. I have gotten use to the bipolar weather, the mountains that surround me, and the amazing smell of dog food. This place has become my home, the hill has become my usual spot. I come here to relax, do homework, and just think about everything. The hill has become a part of me, and the mountains have become my home. I never want to leave the gorgeous town of Harrisonburg,
