Do you remember your favorite teacher or professor? What about the ones you couldn’t stand? I remember in November, toward the end of first semester, when I was struggling with my registration for interim and spring semester classes. As the first generation and an undecided student, I am not sure what class to take. So, I tried to seek some help from my counselor and the upperclassmen. This website allows students to read up on their reviews and check out how others rate college professors so that you can be better prepared, have an idea of what to expect, and know who you may want to avoid or embrace. Users who have or are currently taking a particular professor’s course give a 1-5 scale, in four categories: “helpfulness” (very helpful: 5, not helpful: 1), “clarity” (crystal clear: 5, confusing: 1), and “easiness” (easy: 5, hard: 1). You can also assign professors chili-pepper icons if you think they’re good-looking. Helpfulness means the professor is approachable, nice, easy to communicate with, and available during office hours or after class for additional help. Clarity means students are able to understand the class topics based on the professor's teaching methods and communication style. “Easiness” means less work needs to be done in order to get a good grade. On a 1-5 scale for overall quality means: 1 to 2.4 is poor, the students are not satisfied with the class or professor, 2.5 to 3.4 is average, and 3.5 to 5 is good.
