Studying Chemistry has given me the opportunity to explore my interest in science and I enjoyed carrying out experiments in the lab which has improved my laboratory techniques. It has also enabled me to delve into topics that have fascinated me such as the optical isomer s-thalidomide and it's tragic teratogenic effect on the human body. A-levels maths has helped refine my problem solving and data handling skills. Psychology has broadened my research and debating skills as well as my ability to apply studies to theories which is crucial to the field of biomedical science. Learning about cell biology in BTEC Applied Science was stimulating and encouraged my desire to undertake this course.

This was difficult and required us to work effectively under pressure as a team in order for us to get to our camp.
