Fear of my mum telling me off meant that, I was able to mask the pain of burning my hand at the age of 4. From then my interest was sparked, at how powerful the mind is to control our actions and emotions. My A level choices mean that I am in a good position to study a paramedic degree and gain a greater insight into the human body: Chemistry has exposed me to an understanding of how chemical components could impact the human body; PE has enhanced my knowledge of how the body works and reacts in different environments whilst Maths will ensure accurate dispensing of appropriate medication. …show more content…
Consultants were able to gain information from patients by creating a comfortable environment with the use of empathy and good communication skills. This contrasted with the leadership qualities they adopted with the team, giving them clear instructions in a professional manner.
My time at King’s College London, saw me develop a greater understanding into the science behind the medicine and also enhanced my practical skills in a lab, where I had the opportunity to dissect mice and use their organs to identify cells and how they differentiated in different organs. This illustrated the amount of dexterity needed when using equipment in order to have precision and accuracy, which is an essential skill when working in pressured
