worried. We knew that maybe doing this “fun” night, was not a great idea. She was right, it was a mess. Cups on the ground, along with chips crushed on the floor. There was streamers everywhere, spilled drinks everywhere. I was a disaster. But we had to clean it up in a matter of an hour. So we got to work, I got the kitchen and Sarah had the outside. We cleaned up as fast as we could. My hands felt like they were going lighting speed. It was definitely the fastest I had ever seen Sarah move. She was never a “quick” person. It was like she almost felt sorry for this so she was actually helping. Finally right was we finished, I heard the garage door go up, so that means that they were home. Sarah ran to the couch and put on the TV and I followed. We jumped on the couch while I had the bag of chips in my hand to make it look like we were eating them. I hope we didn’t cause any trouble with plans.” I looked at Sarah and giggled. My mom walked over to the kitchen to set her stuff down. I was just happy that we got the place cleaned before they got home… well almost. “Taylor? Why are there so many cups on the table.” My eyes went wide. I had forgotten that I put all the cups that we found all around the house. “Ummm we were building a tower before cause we got bored.” Sarah looked at me confused. I shrugged my shoulders hoping she bought it. “Oh……

“I’m sorry.” Two simple words that can be articulated to mean a number of different things. Two words that, unfortunately, we have been exposed to our entire lives. Two words that are perceived as a good thing, yet in all reality symbolize the acknowledgment of unacceptable acts. When these two words are strung together to create a sentence that will invariably be answered with a quick “It’s okay”, it is easy to assess what has just happened. I wish I could say that I’ve been around these words…

Alyssa Roenigk, a senior writer for ESPN, presented an argumentative article, “Sorry, Cheerleading is not a Sport,” which opened a pivotal argument on cheerleading being classified as a sport. Roenigk states that all cheerleaders are athletes, but cheerleading should not be considered a sport. Why is this? Roenigk claims that sports teams are made to compete, to go against another team to win, not to entertain the crowd. Although Roenigk tries to persuade her audience that cheerleading does not…

I am often struck by how often people throw around the words “I’m sorry” without giving much thought as to what these two small words actually mean. I do not know if you have really thought about the true meaning of them, so I would like to point them out. I’m sorry, means I am sorry; but, are you really? Sorry when we look it up in the dictionary means: wretched, useless, or pitiful. Now, do you want to hook up the phrase I am with that? I personally, feel that I have value and therefore…

The reasoning behind this was because the poem is broken up into three parts, from different times. She briefly goes explains the circumstances that she is in but I wanted to go into more detail, create more of a backstory and show the growth of Eva and add the extra part at the end, being the first Nation Wide Sorry Day. My compare/contrast essay Who would think that a phone could be centered around death or a murder? ‘Sorry wrong Number’, written by Lucille Fletcher, and ‘Sorry Right Number’, by Stephen King are both centered around a phone call that leads to death and a murder. Both stories are very similar, it’s said that Stephen King was inspired by ‘Sorry Wrong Number,’ even though there is a 50 year time gap between the plays. ‘Sorry Wrong Number’ is about an invalid woman, who calls a WRONG number, and…
