Thank Jim. Name Mark Howson, Lead Speaker, next few minutes discuss

More e. efficent ways to get around. Devasting effects of Global warming to Earth Environment and Economy
YS
People travel Earth ways. Cars/aeroplanes/waterskis. Method travel transport own risk. Example, no longer get around Horse Cart, too slow, prone to breakdown.
YS
Modern tech automobile own advantage. Quicker, more convinient, cheaper to run. However, cars deadly - environment and humans
YS
Every year, warmer winters, summers with erratic weather. Not too long ago, heatwave France, 11,000 deaths, killing many french population. Heavy strain morturies and funeral houses = bodies in lorries.
YS
Hurricanes in America, cause disaster Katrina, which year on sees New Orleans in destruction with 1300 dead, increasing yearly basis. Last Friday, group of Tornadoes battered path across America, kill even more humans.
YS
Attributed to rise temperatures across world. Rise temperatures can be attributed to cars, aeroplanes, modern methods transport. That you use every day.
YS
And solution to stopping rising temp. across planet = simple. It's not difficult to change how we live and stop death counts such as those France + New Orleans. If stop, or lower carbon emmisions, from factories, aeroplanes
YS
and, most importantly, the cars we drive every day. We can dramatic slow rise temp. earth
YS
Alt. Energy Solutions. New types fuel. Cars run electric/solar. Easy, simple solutions to combat what could be the biggest threat on the planet.
YS
The biggest killer of human life. And by not doing anything, we are murdering ourselves, and we are urdering generations to come.
YS
So, what are the alternatives that can stop these devestating changes to the environment? Well, there are multiple solutions, all of which are simple, easy and cost effective.
YS
First, is bio-diesel. Bio-diesel is an alternative fuel that is created with sunflower seeds and natural oils. Bio-diesel doesn't introduce additional CO2 to the atmosphere, instead recycling the CO2 used and stabalizing the temperature of the Earth.
YS
However, Bio-diesel cannot be used for the whole world, as a lot of land is required to supply the needed crop. Also, Bio-diesel manufacturers do not necessarily use there own product for the machinery and equipment used for planting, harvesting and mixing to make the final composition.
YS
Second, comes the hybrid car. The hybrid is an innovative solution, designed with a duel-fuel system. It uses both regular fuel, and also electricity. Hybrid cars are designed to look, and work, like normal cars, but there is sometimes a tradeoff on speed.
YS
Hybrid cars can be recharged at any mains adaptor, just as you'd recharge an iPod, video player or TV. In many US cities, hybrid cars can be recharged while parked at the side of the road, for free.
YS
Good hybrid cars can reduce fuel emmisions by huge amounts, spectacularly reducing the CO2 emmisions, rather than stabalising them like bio-diesel.
YS
However, hybrid cars are only effective when renewable energy sources are used, such as solar power, hydro-electric power and wind turbines. In America, many consumers choose a hybrid car, and the hybrid car seems to be the consumer friendly solution.
YS
Other solutions that are not currently in the public eye include:

100% Electric Cars Solar Cars
Hydrogen Cars

These solutions are not yet ready for the prime-time, but many people are working on them, and I welcome any questions you may have on these other solutions
YS
In the last few moments of our talk together, I'd like to look at other solutions, that'd don't require any investment on your part at all. Namely, the public transport sector. Buses, trains and coaches are all very good ways to cut down on CO2 emmisions. By increasing the number of passengers to every engine, we're all doing our bit to help the environment.
YS
Plus, the public transport system offers a far more cost effective solution than purchasing an automobile, especially with prices at the pumps increasing on a yearly basis.
YS
Another easy solution is car pooling. When you go to work, instead of simply driving your own car, you can save time and money by pooling with other workers.
YS
For example, you could drive a collegue every other week, and they would drive you the weeks you weren't driving. Not only does this halve your CO2 emmisions, it halves your cost at the pumps, leaving you with more money to spend on whatever you want.
YS
If you can save just £20 a week on fuel, by the end of the year, you'll have enough for a holiday.
YS
To conclude, while Global Warming presents a significant risk, using simple and easy solutions can solve the problems caused, and help to slow the effects. I'd now like to welcome you to ask any questions you may have about the subject of todays discussion, which I will try to answer.
