What does ionising mean

Turns atoms into toons by removing electrons

What are the cathodes and anodes used for in the evacuated tube in an x-Ray machine

Cathode - negatively charge so repels the electrons, the electron gun

Anode - the electrons are accelerated towards the anode

What happens when the electrons hit the anode

Some of the kinetic energy is turned into x-rays however most is transferred into thermal

If the temperature of the cathode increases what will happen

More electrons will be emitted so the number of x-rays produce will also be invreased
