What is a liqueur?
A spirit that has been sweetened and flavored.

What is the difference between a liqueur and a distilled fruit spirit?
Liqueurs are usually lower in alcohol, are sweeter, and are colored.
Describe Vodka.

Further inland than Cognac so no maritime influence. Drier climate and warmer summers.
What are the districts of Armagnac?
Bas Armagnac, Tenareze, Haut Armagnac
Describe Bas Armagnac.
Rich topsoil covering subsoil of sand and clay. Low in alcohol and high in acidity. Best spirit.

Mixture of rich topsoil and chalk. Fuller flavor.
Describe Haut Armagnac.
Chalky soil but gives poorest wines for distillation. Sold generally as Vin de Pays des Cote de Gascogne.
