Before the stock crash, U.S. promised a bonus to soldiers
Marched to washington to demand their money. stayed in tenets, became known as Hoovervilles.
Hoover sent the army to dismantle the hoovervilles.
Emergency banking Act
Signed on FDR's innauguration day; caused all the banks in the U.S. to close.
They would stay closed until federal auditors certified they were sound

Founded the Congress of Industrial Organizations. It was an organization of unskilled labor unions.
Wagner act
"National Labor Relations At" - gave some power to labor unions. Established the national labor relations Board, which mediates disputes between workers and management. Before the NLRB, the only option available to workers was striking. NLRB allowed workers to take their case to an unbiased court to settle things.

Japan had always been an Ally. Before the first world war, there was a revolution in Japan. The new governement there was evil, and the U.S. decided to "wait and see" about what they did. In 1931, Japan invaded Manchuria. League of nations did nothing, nor did the U.S. in 1937, Japan invaded China which worried many.

This law allowed the U.S. to provide supplies to lend/lease supplies to any country whose defense was vital to American Security.
