Increasing the Prussian military, new prime minister of Germany, Bismarck, and provided nationalism amongst all Germans and created reasons for a war with Austria. Bismarck persuaded Napoleon not to enter the war.
What made the Italian Unification
A nationalistic movement in Italy, shared beliefs and way of life, a common religion and language, Geribraldi and the Red Shirts using tactics of Guerilla Warfare and Italy siding with Prussia and getting land from Austria.
The period where Germany prospered. Also known as empire. This was because Germany was considered the Holy Toman Empire to be the First Reich.
