Alignment
The position of text between the margins.
Bullet
Any small character that appears before an item.
Center
Often used for invitations, titles and headings.
First-Line Indent
The text is only indented in the first line of each paragraph. This is used in books, newspapers, and magazines.
Hanging Indent
The first full line of text is not indented, but the following lines are.
Indent
The space between text and a document's margin.
Inside Margin (Gutter Margin)
In a book, the margins closest to the inside of a page, near the binding.
Justify
Text is aligned at both the left and right margins.
Leader
Solid, dotted, or dashed lines that fill a blank space before a tab setting.
Left-Align
Text is closer to the left margin.
Margin
Blank areas around the top, bottom, and sides of a page.
Mirrored Margin
Books and magazines are often formatted in this way.
Multilevel List
A list with two or more levels of bullets or numbering.

Setting a negative number in the indent box.
Outline Numbered List

In books and magazines, the margins closer to the outer edge of a page.
