- Good Transfer rates:

- Use 50 wire ribbon cable to connect

D.S: EIDE (Enhanced Integrated Drive Electronics)

- MB Supports it would have 2 EIDE with 40 pins each


- Connect drive to connector on MB by using 40 or 80 wire EIDE ribbon cable


- Cable typically has 2 connectors on it, one end connects to the drive and other end to the MB

- Set of pins plastic cap over them to create electric connection


- Plastic cap contains piece of metal makes contact with pins and create electric circuit
