Computer System

This is something which is able to take a set of inputs, process them into digital data and creates a set of outputs. This is done by a combination of hardware and software.

Input

The role of an input in a computer system is to provide data for further processing.


An input consists of data or commands that are entered into the computer system usually via an input device such as a keyboard, mouse, OMR, barcode reader, scanner etc.


The input data is converted into digital data that can be dealt by the computer and then converted into output data

Output

Output is the stage where the information obtained via processing is presented to the user in a suitable format usually for the suited needs etc. like a monitor where you click a program and it is converted into digital data and then it is procesed it and coverts it to the output and is presented in physical data

Software

Software are the applications and programming instructions that tell your computer what to do and enable you to use it for things such as playing games, writing an essay or listening to music.

Hardware

Hardware is a generic term for any part of the computer that you can physically touch, pick up, hold, move around the room etc. In other words, hardware are the physical parts that make up the computer.
