Phone signaller and get required lines blocked. Make sure you get assurance this has been done. May take a few minutes and wait for reference number. Re contact signaller if you fix the fault and await permission to proceed. Ensure rolling stock technicians are still informed |

Lay three detonators 20m apart, 300metres in the direction that assistance will come from. Wait there with red flag. No need to lay TCOC as train will be operating track circuits. If immediate communication made and you reach a signal prior to the 300metres distance, you may lay dets at signal and wait as long as signaller confirms that signal is red and protecting your train |
