Apprehend

To take into custody; to arrest

Arrest

Is the taking of one person into custody by another

Arraignment

To bring the accused before a judge to plead the charges against him.

Arrest warrant

Is an order written by a judge to take a person into custody for a charge. (Usually not at his stand)

Bench warrant

Issues from the stand "bench" of a judge. (Usually in court)

To set a person arrested or in jail the security to leave while charges are pending in court but has to appear when the court date is issued.
