The period is the time to produce one wave. This is measured in seconds. Divide the time of how long the waves take by the amount of waves |

What is frequency? |
Frequency is the number of waves produced in the unit time. To find the frequency get the number of waves and divide by the time the wave takes to pass the point (F=n/t). You can also find frequency by dividing 1 by the period (F=1/T) or using the V=Fλ formula and rearrange |
