Deposition
Sand and silt being dropped on a bank by the river, mostly in high flow
Meander
A loop in the river where erosion occurs on the outside bend where there is a fast flow and deposition on the inside bend where there is a slow flow. A river cliff is formed on the outside bend and a river beach onthe inside bend.
Ox-Bow lake
Formed when a meander cuts through the land and the river then straightens out.
