Why is water an important 'Metabolite'?
Hydrolysis reactions need a water molecule to break bond, condensation reaction makes water.

Why is water a good 'solvent'?

Water is polar, so their slightly positive and negative ends attract ions so the ions will get totally surrounded by water - dissolves.

Why does water have a 'high latent heat of vaporisation'?

Lots of heat is used to change it from a liquid to a gas.
How can water 'buffer' changes in temperature?
Water takes longer to heat up due to the specific heat capacity in hydrogen bonds. So less heat energy is available to increase water temperature.
How is water 'cohesive'?
Due to their polarity. Makes water flow and makes it good for transporting substances.
