1st Code of Conduct
I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2nd Code of Conduct
I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4th Code of Conduct
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith in my fellow prisoners. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior I will take command. If not I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and back them up in every way.
5th Code of Conduct
When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give my name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country or harmful to their cause.
6th Code of Conduct
I will never forget I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and the United States of America.
1st Verse of the Air Force Song
Off we go into the wild blue yonder,
Climbing high into the sun.
Here they come, zooming to meet our thunder,
At'em boys, give'er the gun! (Give'er the gun now!)
Down we dive, sprouting our flames from under,
Off with one helluva roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame, Hey!
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!

Star Spangled Banner
By Francis Scot Key
Oh, say can you see by the dawn't early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous flight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
High Flight
By John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the clouds on laughter - silvered wings.
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High into the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting winds along and flung
My eager craft through the footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delerious burning blue
I've topped the wing-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God
