Values which are important in public law?

Legal certainty (law applies clear & predictable), Equality (cases treated likewise), Seperation of Government functions (e.g. courts & Police have different functions & should stay within them), Fidelity to establish authority (decisions of official bodies set up by law should be enforced even if they sometimes appear unfair), Democratic legitimacy (the law should always reflect the will of the electorate or its representatives), Personal liberty (sometimes it is more important to presere the liberty of an individual than to ensure criminals are punished), Due process of law (sometimes more important to ensure that someone has a fairtrial than to ensure that a criminal is punished)
