Name the 2 types of hydrant indicators

-Metal (can be nailed to wooden poles)


-vinyl (attached with spray adhesive)



Indicators come in the form of primary or secondary markers. Larger primary markers are placed on a power pole facing the hydrant. A smaller secondary marker is placed facing the direction of traffic if the primary indicator is not 50% visible.

Where are cats eyes placed on single and multi-lane roads?

Adjacent to white lines on the same side and in line with the hydrant.
