Shield Volcanoe
Tend to be found at constructive plate boundaries. Low with gentle slopes.Formed by basic lava, wich is thin and runny.Basic lava spreads to form low, shield-shaped volcanoes, Erupt frequently and gently.
Cone volcanoes
Tend to be founjd at destructive plate boundaries. Tall and steep sides formed by acid lava which is thick and sticky. The acid lava flows slowly and hardens quickly. This explains the steep sided shape of these volcanoes. Erupts violently throwing out stem and lava bombs.
