Political Systems
The interaction between social groups, economic groups, political groups, and the media to form a government system.
Common Good
Something that will benefit all members of a society.
Rights/Responsibilities
Right - The freedom to do something that is protected by the law

Responsibilities - A duty or obligation a person is expected to do
Rule of Law
The laws of applies to all people regardless of their power, wealth, position, etc. No one is above the law
Government
A group of people who have the power to make and enforce laws, provide security and services for a country or area. (National, State, Local, etc)
BCE and CE
BCE - Before Common Era (replaces BC or Before Christ) 476 to 1450 CE

CE - Common Era (replaces AD or Anno Domini in the year of our lord) 1450 to present
Nationalism
The belief that persons should have strong loyalty to their nation and culture; the belief that your nation is the best. That belief that a group or nation should be independent.
Democracy
A form of government in which people control the government directly or through elected officials; promotes social and political equality.
Monarchy
A form of government ruled by a king or queen who inherited power. Literally means "one ruler".
Social Class
class: people having the same social, economic, or educational status; "the working class"; "an emerging professional class"
