Protagonist

The leading character or one of the major characters in a drama, movie, novel or other fictional text

Antagonist

A person who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something; an adversary

Exposition

A literary device used to introduce background information about events, settings, characters, or other elements of a work to the audience or readers.

Rising Action

The period in a story after the introduction that builds to the climax

Climax

The most intense, exciting, or important point of something

Falling action

Occurs right after the climax, when the main problem of the story resolves.

Resolution

The part of the story’s plot where the main problem is resolved or worked out
