Viognier

Grape parentage and origins are unconfirmed however people think it came from dalmatia is croatia and that it might have a relationship with mondeuse blanc, its early rippening, low yielding, poor fruit, rippening unevenly, resistant to botrytis/root, drought, susceptible to powdery mildew. It likes sandy top soils, classic arzelle ( micra-deep rich laid over granitic bedrock)

Aromas / flavors/ sight

Yellow, pale gold color, high intensity of aromas, ripe and lush stone fruit, apricots, peaches, ripe citrus, mandarin and oranges, tropical fruit mango and cocktail fruit, floral note of honeysuckle, rose, orange blossom, spice notes of cinnamon and gingerbread, and notes of malolactic fermentation, yogurt, butter, creme fraiche, mineral stone/granite component. No new oak usually all neutral.

Structure

Dry with a slightly residual sugar, medium to full body, not too much acidity and some phenolic bitterness. This wines are aromatic, expressive, rich and endulgent great for people that like your california chardonnay, fruity wines.
