Steps to creating a new view |
1. Enter in a name for your view 2. Choose the plan & module 3. Give you view a detailed description 4. Choose a view type 5. Click OK to save your new view |

To view the exceptions you must: |
1. Define you exceptions 2. Run a check exception |

Check Exceptions Pane is for: |
calculating which data falls outside of exception. You cannot enter data into cells. EP runs the search and displays all exceptions found in the upper pane. |

To modify a cell in Exception View |
Right click in the cell in the check exceptions pane & select "GO TO CELL". The exception cell is now visible in context & can be modified |

To define you exceptions |
1. Select the exception type. You can select minimum/ maximum 2. Enter the values 3. Select how you want missing & invalid values to be reviewed 4. Select the members of each dimension to check for exceptions |

Calculation Sequence View |
Used to view the calculation sequence for data changes you enter in a plan/module |

To view calculation sequence |
1.Need to open another view (spreadsheet or chart) on the same plan& module info enter the values to be calculated. 2. Need to enter the calculations in this view in order to see the sequence in the calculation seq. view |

Using Calculation Sequence Views |
1. Open the calculation sequence view & spreadsheet view 2. Select the tile horizontal or vertical options under the windows to see both views at once. 3. Enter the data into the cell in the spreadsheet view 4. The cacl seq. will be displayed |

Styles in EP |
You can apply & create styles (colors, fonts, borders, etc) to your views in EP |

To create a temporary style: |
1. Right click on the screen area. The shortcut menu displays the appropriate style command for the selected object. 2. The dialog box will open & allow you to customize styles |

To create permanent styles: |
Use the styles icon on the toolbar. IN FM 325, you should never create permanent styles. |

Cell notes |
Line of text that can be added to any cell in a spreadsheet view. Can be used as warnings or reminders. They are flagged in the upper right hand corner with a red triangle. Can be viewed on screen & printed. |

Customized Planning Favorites |
You can add files & folders to your planning favorites pane to quickly access views, plans,& automation files which you commonly use. Allows more time planning & less time finding correct files. |

1. Click on favorites in folder 2. Click on the new folder button 3. Give the new folder a name 4. Adding a file to favorites |
