Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

James 4:8 NIV

Prayer for change

Heavenly Father, thank You for the cross. I come to You with brokenness, asking You to forgive me, restore me, and show me how to break my chains so I can truly live for You and make my life count. I have made a decision to fight and win this battle once and for all. I commit these next few weeks over to You. By Your power I can be healed, I can be free, and I can become a conqueror. I ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

1 Peter 5:8-9 NIV
