Vera, my housekeeper, was roughly 35 yrs in 1963. Now would be about 84. I heard from one of my younger sisters that Vera died about 10 years ago at age 75

Can't be sure because I never knew her last name, but the people i've spoken to in Odessa say the Vera I described would have behaved exactly as i described

so, certain i am speaking about same Vera. So, i choose to believe Vera I loved is same Vera
|

So, I want to take opportunity to tell you about a lesson I learned from Vera, as frankly, tribute. And Frankly, I have grown fond of you, my classmates, so I would like to share my respect, love and admiration of Vera. sometimes lonely.

Used to look forward to seeing everyday, and always a little sad when she left.

One of my sweetest memories is Vera's coming to my home and cupping my face.
|

sometimes she would pretend to forget, but I would follow her around until she relented. she would cup my face and say hello.
|

Vera was surrogate of sorts, because mom had left, but another story, which turned out well.
|

Vera had a way of knowing exactly what to say and when to say. I asked why she came. She said, 'Because my little mijo, its the right thing to do"
|

Those words had big impact on me. never forgot. have guided me many times in my life to give help to others, because it's the right thing.

Vera took great satisfaction in doing right thing, and I learned that from her. I have her to thank for that.

I hope you find inspiration in my story of Vera, because we all have a Vera in our lives. Because of them our lives are a little richer. Rest in peace, Vera.
