Independence
The Red Cross is independent from the government so that they can act within their principals.
Unity
Their is only one Red Cross in every country. It must be open to ALL in that territory.
Universality
The Red Cross is a worldwide institution where all societies have an equal status and an equal duty to help one another.
Neutrality
In order to be trusted by all the Red Cross does not take sides.
Humanity
The Red Cross was born of a desire to bring help to all without discrimination. It promotes mutual understanding,friendship,cooperation, lasting peace and health for all.
Impartiality
They do not discriminate based on religious belief, political opinion,or race.It endeavors only to relieve suffering. They will always give priority to the most urgent case.
