Urethral overactivity/bladder underactivity
What is overflow- incont?
Involuntary loss of urine when the intravesicular pressure exceeds the maximal urethera pressure. Over-distention of bladder, loss of small amounts of urine and continual feeling of bladder fullness.
When does overflow incont occur?
1. Bladder outlet obstuction(BPH)
2. Fecal impaction(constipation)
3. Bladder paralysis(general anesthesia)
What is functional incont?
Involuntary loss of urine due to inability to get to the bathroom or the lack of awareness of needing to void.
