Describe approach for scrotal urethrostomy.
Skin incision over scrotum, before urethra dips. Skin incision should be 2.5 to 4cm and urethral incision just shy of that (can shrink by 1/3rd of size). Use 4-0 PDS: partial thickness of skin to full thickeness of mucosa (can do simple continuous sutures on both sides or simple interrupted sutures.

Risk of stricture is low and depends on surgeon skill - stoma needs to be appropriate size, need to get full thickness of mucosa and risk of stricture also depends on viability of urethral mucosa (friable or unhealthy).
