Babinski Reflex (Plantar Reflex)



Stroke the lateral aspect of the sole of foot from heel to ball of the foot and medially to the base of the great toe with blunt end of reflex hammer




Normal Response: Flexion of Toes


Positive Response: Splaying of Toes (Signals Upper Motor Neuron Lesion!!)
