What is Bursitis? |
Inflammation of the bursae (fluid-filled sacs that enclose joints). Can involve the formation of calcification in surrounding tendons. Causes pain and limited join mobility. |

What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? |
It is caused by compression the median nerve that runs through the wrist. It is painful, and most common in middle aged women. |

What is a Boxer's Fracture? |
A transverse fracture extending through the metacarpal neck. |

What is a Colle's Fracture? |
Transverse fracture of the distal aspect of the radius - the distal fragment the becomes displaced posteriorly. |

What is Joint Effusion? |
The accumulation of fluid in the joint cavity. This is often times a clue to underlying problems such as a fracture, inflammation, or dislocation. |

What is Osteomyelitis? |
Localized bone/bone marrow infection that is caused by bacteria. |

What is Rheumatoid Arthritis? |
Chronic systemic disease that involves swelling, bone erosion, and some pain. 3 times more common in females than males. |

A type of primary cancerous bone tumor, most common in people ages 10-20. |

Accumulation of fat that can be used to determine if there has been an injury by looking at the placement and position of the fat pad itself. |

A small, detached (free-floating) bone. The largest sesamoid in the body is the patella (knee cap). |
