What is a Jesuit education?

Simply: a Jesuit education means a lot of things to different people. But for me it has meant becoming socially aware of the world around me and how to advocate for others.



Educating students to be responsible citizens who are sensitive to the needs of our time.



It seeks to educate the whole person: intellectually, socially, and spiritually. And to translate the understanding of these things into meaningful action and of service to others.

What is the Clery act?
It's a federal law that requires campuses across the U.S. To disclose information about crime on and around campus. This law also ensures certain basic rights for victims of campus sexual assaults and requires US Dept of Ed to collect and disseminate campus crime statistics.
What is FERPA?
family Educational Rights and Privacy act. Protecting students' privacy by prohibiting disclosure of their educational records without adult consent.
What is cura personalis?
Care for the whole person. In the Jesuit educational sense we take care the student as a whole: intellect and wellbeing.
What is Magis?
Means "more". It's a Jesuit concept about doing more, being more and achieving more than originally thought possible.
