the feeding of the 5,000. what is the story? |
Jesus told the disciples to come with him so they could find a quiet place to eat and rest. They went in a boat but people followed them so jesus started to teach them. Later, the disciples told Jesus to send the people away but Jesus told them to give them something to eat. The disciples protested as the only had 5 loaves and 2 fish but jesus told them to share it out anyway. Once everyone had eaten the disciples gathered up the remains and they had 12 baskets full of food for everyone. People ate in groups of 50s and there was enough to feed the 5,000 that were there. |
