Jacksonian Democracy
Jacksonian Democracy is the political movement toward greater democracy for the common man symbolized by American politician Andrew Jackson and his supporters.
Voting Rights
States began to lower or even eliminate property requirements allowing more people of all classes to take part in voting.

Also, convention party members began electing party leaders giving people more of a position in government.
Spoils System
Jackson created the idea of the spoils system, which he took much advantage of, which was the idea of giving your political backers during your campaign, and giving government positions during your office.
Presidential Power/ Veto
Jackson took advantage of his presidential powers by using the Spoils System (the practice of giving government positions to his political power) and the veto (eliminating bills passed by congress) by vetoing 12 bills throughout his presidency, because he believed he could veto as many bills as he wanted
Democratic Party
The democratic party is the party created by Jackson's supporters, known as National Republicans, and were pro-slavery.

Jackson's advisories created a opposing party because they disliked Jackson and his beliefs and created the Republican Party.

With the creation of the Democratic Party came the creation of the Globe Newspaper.
