1.- ACCESS TOKEN
A VIRTUAL LIST created for a user at log on BASED on permissions that are assigned to the user and to groups of which the user is a member. THIS LIST (ACCESS TOKEN) is USED to GAIN access to resources in a computer or domain.
2.- ADMINISTRATIVE SHARES
-HIDDEN SHARED FOLDERS- created for the PURPOSE of ALLOWING administrators to ACCESS the ROOT PARTITIONS and other system folders REMOTELY.
3.- ANSWER FILE
A -TEXT FILE- , ALSO CALLED a RESPONSE FILE, which CONTAINS A SET of instructions FOR INSTALLING Windows XP.
4.- ATTENDED INSTALLATION
A TYPE of SOFTWARE INSTALLATION that REQUIRES a person to monitor the entire installation process and occasionally choose options or enter additional information.
5.- DYNAMIC DISK
The drive division method that employs volumes. It is a NEW standard SUPPORTED ONLY by Windows XP and Windows 2000.

Person who has passed the two Microsoft examination for desktop support technicians. This certification prepares candidates for jobs in the Tier-1 environment and provides a good foundation for moving up in the corporation.
11.- MIRRORED VOLUME
A -FAULT TOLERANT- disk STRATEGY in which a VOLUME on one DYNAMIC DISK has its contents MIRRORED to a SECOND DYNAMIC DISK.

The PROCESS of ALLOWING a computer to BOOT MULTIPLE operating systems.
13.- PERMISSIONS INHERITANCE
The process whereby a file or folder will assume the NTFS Permission set on the parent folder the object is created within.

A drive configuration of two or more parts ( up to 32 ) of one or more drives or two or more entire drives ( up to 323 ). Data is written to all drives in equal amounts to spread the workload and improve perfomance. Each part or drive must be roughly equal in size and it does not provide any fault tolerance.
20.- SYNCHRONIZATION
The process of ensuring that shared folders and offline copies of the folders have the same content. this can be accomplished manually or with some automation.

A DIGITAL SIGNATURE that Microsoft INCORPORATES into driver and systems files as a WAY to VERIFY the files and to ensure that they are not inappropriately overwritten. Ensures that installed drivers will not destabilize the operating system.
