Amenorrhea
The absence of menstrual periods is called amenorrhea. Primary amenorrhea is the failure to start having a period by the age of 16. Secondary amenorrhea is more common and refers to either the temporary or permanent ending of periods in a woman who has menstruated normally in the past. Many women miss a period occasionally. Amenorrhea occurs if a woman misses three or more periods in a row.

Endometriosis
A condition, usually resulting in pain and dysmenorrhea, characterized by the abnormal presence of functional endometrial tissue outside the uterus, frequently as cysts containing altered blood.
Mammoplasty
Surgery performed to change the size of breasts.
Menorrhea
The normal discharge of blood and tissue from the uterus.
Nullipara
a woman who has not given birth to a viable infant. The designation "para 0" indicates nulliparity.
Postpartum
Of or occurring in the period shortly after childbirth.
Primipara
A woman who has given birth to one viable infant, indicated by the notation para 1
Mastectomy
Mastectomy is the surgical removal of the breast for the treatment or prevention of breast cancer.
Menarche
The first menstrual period, usually during puberty.
Gynecomastia
Enlargement of one or both breasts in a male, usually seen in adolescents or elderly men due to excessive estrogen activity; occasionally there is even excretion of milk.
Peau d'orange
A dimpling of the skin that gives it the appearance of the skin of an orange. It is common in advanced breast cancer.
Supernumerary
Exceeding the normal or usual number; extra. (As in supernumerary nipples: an excessive number of nipples, which are usually not associated with underlying glandular tissue. They may vary in size from small pink dots to that of normal nipples. )
Lumpectomy
A lumpectomy is a type of surgery used to treat breast cancer. It is considered "breast-conserving" surgery because in a lumpectomy, only the malignant tumor and a surrounding margin of normal breast tissue are removed.
Dyspareunia
Pain in the pelvic area during or after sexual intercourse.
Stress incontinence
A sudden, involuntary release of urine caused by muscular strain accompanying laughing, sneezing, coughing, or exercise, seen primarily in older women with weakened pelvic musculature. Also called stress urinary incontinence.
Gravida
A pregnant woman; called gravida I (primigravida) during the first pregnancy, gravida II (secundigravida) during the second, and so on.
Para
A woman who has produced one or more viable offspring. Used with Roman numerals to designate the number of such pregnancies, as para 0 (none—nullipara), para I (one—primipara), para II (two—secundipara)
Menorrhagia
Abnormally heavy and prolonged menstrual period at regular intervals.
