gives a command. It usually ends with a period, but it may also end with an exclamation point (!). Commands ask or tell people to do something. The first one doesn't sound as commanding as the second one, but both of them are commands because they both ask or tell someone to do something. |

, is a more forceful version of a declarative sentence. In other words, an exclamatory sentencemakes a statement (just like a declarative sentence), but it also conveys excitement or emotion. Anexclamatory sentence ends with anexclamation mark (!) |

are the opposite of questions. Known as a "mood" in the grammar world, you can also use declarative to describe other things that make a definite statement. A strongly worded political sign could be declarative. |
