What is the fundamental idea of the Trinity?

God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

He is one being, three roles.

2 Corinthians 13:14

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all".

What happened at Jesus' baptism which supports the idea of the Trinity?

"The Holy Spirit descended on him" (Luke 3:22).

God said "you are my son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased" (Luke 3:22).

What is the purpose of the Trinity?

Humans are not meant to understand the full concept of the Trinity. Only God is great enough to understand it.

Reverend Barron's quote on the Trinity.

"The Trinity is meant to confuse us, to show us how great God is in comparison with us".
