(TRAFFIC)
Issued to alert pilots to other known or observed traffic which may be in such proximity to the position or intended route of flight of their aircraft to warrant their attention.
Traffic Advisories To radar identified aircraft:

(TRAFFIC)
Azimuth from aircraft using the 12 hour clock or,
Rapidly maneuvering aircraft that prevent accurate issuance, give the direction from the aircraft.
Distance from the aircraft in miles.
Direction in which the aircraft is proceeding or relative movement
Phraseology examples: Traffic Advisories radar identified A/C

(TRAFFIC)
Traffic ten o’clock, one two miles, south east bound, heavy Boeing seven sixty seven, one five thousand.
Traffic, twelve o’clock, one zero miles, opposite direction, altitude unknown.
Traffic Advisories To aircraft not radar identified:

Distance and direction from fix
Direction in which traffic is proceeding
If known, type of aircraft and altitude
ETA over the fix the aircraft is approaching
