What are trade unions?

A pressure group against the bias distributions of the media.

- Can be viewed as subordinate political actors in a capitalist society.

- Represent the interests of labour.

- After the miners strike in 1985 trade unions became weaker. Mass media were the only channels available. Trade Unions had to learn to use the media to overcome the negative public image they had created for themselves in the late 1970's.




- In the sophisticated shift, trade unions were prompted to learn news management techniques.
