Lightness
The difference between the colour of an object compared to that of a perfectly white object.
Brightness
The intensity of coloured light.
Chroma
The strength of an object's colour, compared to a grey object.
Saturation
The spectral purity of coloured light.
Hue
The type of colour an object or ray of light is.
Chromaphore
The moiety responsible for the base colour.
Auxochrome
The moiety responsible that modifies existing colour.
Paint
A surface coating material, usually applied

Primer
