Heure
used to refer to clock time.

ie. Quelle heure est-il?
Il est 6 heures.
C'est l'heure du diner!
Temps
refers to time as a general or abstract concept.

ie. Le temps passe vite.
Ou - Je n'ai pas le temps de voyager.
Fois
means time in the sense of an occasion or time in succession:

ie. J'y vais, mais c'est la dernière fois!
(I'm going, but it is the last time!)
Habitual Action (Days of the Week)
If "Le" is placed before a day of the week, it means "on or every."

ie. Le Samedi, ils vont en ville.
(On Saturdays, they go downtown.)
Seasons
Le Printemps, L'Ete, L'Automne, L'Hiver

"En" is used with months or seasons to express in, except wit printemps, which takes au.
Years & Centuries
There are 2 ways to express years in French:

1. 1999 -- dix-neuf cent quatre-vingt-dix-neuf
2. 1999 - mil neuf cent quatre-vingt dix-neuf


"En" is used with years an au with centuries:
en 1999 au vingt siecle
Dates
Quel est la date? (What day is it?)
- C'est le vingt mars 2006.

When referring to date and day of the week, use le before either of the two.
ie. Elle rentre lundi, le sept juin. Ou - Elle rentre le lundi sept juin.
Hours & Minutes
Time in French is indicated like so:
1:10 - une heure dix
3:05 - trois heures cinq
Time Past Half-Hour
Subtracted from the next hour:
6:35 - sept heures moins vingt-cinq
8:50 - neuf heures moins dix
Time (Quarter & Half Hours)
These have Special formulas:
4:15 quatre heures et quart
2:30 deux heures et demie
9:45 dix heures moins le quart
Concepts of A.M. & P.M.
Normally expressed with du or de l':
1:15 AM une heures et quart du matin
3:20 PM trois heures vingt de l'apres-midi
Divisions of Time (Periods of the Day)
Le, La, L' are used before the noun to express the idea of "in" or "at":
ie. J'ai tous mes cours l'apres-midi.
Ou - Je me leve tot le matin car je travaille.
