Catabolism is when the body breaks down more protein than it can afford. It causes metabolic acidosis, increased intestinal peristalsis that leads to diarrhea, N & V; Dehydration leads to malnutrition and weight loss.
In a thyroid storm, what complications of the lungs and heart may occur?
Pulmonary edema and acute heart failure.
