Phrenic
Origin – C3-5Nerves (Converges)
Course – passes through superior thoracic aperture and runs between mediastinal pleura andpericardium Distribution –central portion of the diaphragm |
Intercostals(1-11)

Origin – vagusnerve, sympathetic ganglia and greater splanchnic nerve
Course – distalto bifurcation, vagus, and sympathetic nerves form the plexus around esophagus Distribution –vagal and sympathetic fibers to smooth muscle and glands of inferior two thirdsof esophagus |
