Introduction

A. I believe we are all capable of greatness. Greatness may mean different things to you and I, but for me it requires a certain set of principles to adhere to in ones life.
1
A. Greatness requires effort. Greatness requires thought. Greatness is tough. Greatness requires constantly staying out of your comfort zone and making it your home. What is the best part of about greatness? The best part is that we can give it whatever definition we want
2
B. I believe to be great you must stay hungry. Before I embarked on my journey back to college I had a sweet job in the Marine Corps taking pictures and writing news stories. I was well on my way to getting promoted to Sergeant, I had the respect of my superiors and I had my choice of my next duty station. There was only one problem; I wanted more. I believe we should not choose comfort over opportunity.
3
C. In this world we live in, where conformity is celebrated and differing opinions are shunned, I believe we should question everything. Greatness involves making your own choices. It involves coming to your own conclusions and not just accepting what is told to you.
4
D. I believe that to be great one must be humble. Learn as much as you can from anyone and everyone who will teach you and never feel like something is beneath you. Greatness involves sucking up your pride and accepting the fact that you don’t know everything. It means accepting the fact that sometimes you really do have to work from the bottom and prove your worth along with your “mad skills.”
5
E. I believe that to be great is to be annoying. Never take no for an answer. Never let someone make you feel dumb for asking too many questions. If there is nothing they can do ask for their manager, if they still can’t do anything about it go higher. You will annoy the right person eventually and get exactly what you want, and then some.
6
A. I believe that the only thing holding us back is ourselves. I believe that we can be whomever we want to be if we really try. We all capable of being great, regardless of our past. If we respect ourselves, others, and constantly seek self-improvement, I believe that there is nothing we can’t accomplish during our time here on this amazing world.
