an event that starts the rising action in which the dramatic tension builds
Dialogue
Conversations between characters. A play is composed almost entirely of dialogue.
Drama

Exposition
At the beginning of the play which introduces the characters and setting and presents any necessary background information.
Falling Action (resolution)
Comes after the climax, where all the loose ends of the plot are tied up.
